Uganda Gorilla Tracking & Batwa Pygmies Experience - 4 Days

Day 1: Start from Kampala or Entebbe Bwindi impenetrable Forest, Equator stop-over

We have all arrangements done to have your gorilla tour guide meet you at your place of abode in Entebbe or Kampala, or Kigali (extra cost might apply) to start the tour. The plan today is to transfer you to the home and center of Uganda's gorilla tracking experiences, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. If you are setting off from Entebbe or Kampala, this is going to be ±8 hours of interesting maneuvering via mountains, tropical rainforest and bamboo forests.

En route, there is a local community popular for making local drums and crafts and a fruit market. Stopover, admire and buy yourself souvenirs. Proceed to the Equator line taken as one beautiful scenery in Africa - the pathway of the sun and take photographs.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Begin the day with breakfast ready for gorilla trekking, which begins at 8:00 a.m with a briefing from the UWA staff on how to behave with these endangered mountain Gorillas. Ensure to carry along with you a rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots, etc The guides will lead you inside the beautiful ecosystem to see the shy Primates for a group you have been booked for. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours but it’s well worth the effort.

Day 3: Batwa community visit, relaxing in the afternoon 
Today wake up to a leisurely breakfast and prepare for yet another adventure around the park as you visit these indigenous natives the Batwa. The Batwa are Uganda’s marginalized people and are view with derision by most of the Ugandan Nationals. The Batwa have lived their lives to current generations by hunting and gathering in the forest. The visit to the Batwa invariably involves songs and a dance demonstration, and once the music begins you can’t help but notice that they project a genuine pride in themselves. You shall then return to the lodge for lunch and also relax. Enjoy your evening at leisure as you prepare yourselves for the next day’s journey back to Kampala. -

Day 4: Drive back to Kampala/Entebbe

After breakfast return to Kampala, then Entebbe International Airport, with lunch en route before your evening departure flight home.
