On the tour, Ahmed kept the safari truck spotlessly clean and well stocked with water, answered all of our questions on wildlife and culture and kept us on track with our packed itinerary. We choose mid range accommodation which was all fantastic, including some safari lodges with the most amazing views, all perfect to relax in after a long day spotting wildlife, trekking to see gorillas or on the road travelling.

Ahmad was a true gentlemen; always making sure we were comfortable, had all our questions answered, kept the car stocked with water and introduced me to my next favorite music genre, rumba! We had a packed schedule but never missed an activity and got much closer to many animals than I ever expected. We finally settled on 15 day trip after many back and forths. Our guide Ahmed was spectacular. Easy to understand accent, very well articulated and just finished his degree (but 10 years experience in tourism). Exceptional wealth of information on wildlife, birds, traditions, culture, customs. It was rare to find a question he didn’t have some information on. The vehicle was spotlessly cleaned regularly. He had great choices of music (bring it on a usb if you want your own) . The country is stunning , we loved the variety of wildlife and cultural activities. A fair bit of driving but nice scenery and regular rest and coffee stops. We booked mid range lodges and they were stunning. Food was consistently fresh. This company really does an excellent job with organization and logistics. No issues at all (other than the 4WD having a few teething difficulties in the mud trying to get to elephants after the rain).

We have traveled around Uganda for a week and it has been a very interesting tour also thanks to our guide/driver Ahmed. He is a very nice person who has a deep knowledge of animals and birds and he told us many interesting things about his country. We asked Ahmed to take us to visit an orphanage (which wasn't included in the tour) and he took us to an orphanage close to our lodge in Bwindi and it has been a very special experience that we highly suggest.
We highly recommend Gorillas and Wildlife Safari, they take good care of their clients!
