DREAM UGANDA FLY IN SAFARIS

BY GORILLAS AND WILDLIFE SAFARIS

Gorillas and Wildlife Safaris offers Uganda fly-in safaris with flights to the mountain Gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, Murchison Falls National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Kidepo Valley National Park and all major National Parks in East Africa.

Indeed some of Uganda's roads aren't the best for driving while going to your favorite safari destination in Uganda. And some parks are located quite far away from the main International Airpot Entebbe. For your dream Uganda Fly in safaris, instead of driving for long hours to your parks, we arrange flights from Entebbe or Kajjansi to the national parks. We have flights to all national parks in Uganda on a daily basis. Some flights are scheduled while others are chartered small aircrafts.

Flying to Uganda national parks is now made easier with more smaller aircrafts getting available. Also, your flying Uganda safari is made easier because of more airstrips getting renovated or opened closer to the national park. We have scheduled gorilla trekking flights from Entebbe Airpot to Bwindi on a daily basis. You can fly from Entebbe to either Kisoro or Kihihi Airstrip from where you are transferred to Bwindi accommodation for your gorilla trekking. Aerolink, a company based in Entebbe has made flying gorilla treks easier with two daily flights to Bwindi. Also, Fly Uganda now has a daily flight to Bwindi plus chartered flying safaris to other national parks to make your Uganda safari memorable.

You can do a tour flying in to the gorillas in Bwindi from Entebbe international airport. You can either land at Kihihi Airstrip or Kisoro Airstrip. The airstrip you would fly into depends on your gorilla permit location. If you will be tracking the gorillas in Buhoma or Ruhija Sector of Bwindi, you need to fly to Kihihi Airstrip. If your accommodation is Mahogany springs, Buhoma Lodge, Gorilla Forest Camp, Silverback Lodge, Engagi Lodge, Bwindi Lodge, or any other lodge in the north of Bwindi, it makes more sense to fly into Kihihi Airstrip for your gorilla safari. From there, you will be picked by a vehicle to transfer you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The distance from Bwindi to Kihihi Airstrip is about 60 kms and can be driven for about 1.5 hours if the weather is good.

If your fly in gorilla trek is in the south of Bwindi (Rushaga, Nkuringo and Mgahinga) or if you are doing gorilla habituation experience, golden monkeys or hiking Mgahinga, your flights need to land at Kisoro Airstrip. Similarly, if your accommodation is in south Bwindi like Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge, Bwindi Nkuringo Gorilla Lodge, Lake Mulehe Gorilla Lodge, Rushaga Gorilla Camp, Mt. Gahinga Lodge among others, Kisoro Airstrip is the best to fly into for your gorilla trek safari.
